It's a......

GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are happy to announce that we are having a healthy baby girl. I am still trying to get over the shock a little since I really thought we were going to have a boy. Jacob is disappointed to say the least. (He saw this sentence and asked me to remove it..he says he really is happy it is girl.) Emma was the only one of us that guessed correctly. Beth is at space camp this weekend and I am waiting for her to call so I can tell her the news. She will be excited. Thanks for all the well wishes! I have been feeling super cautious about this pregnancy and I am starting to get excited.

A little catch up....

I am really behind! This past month has been super busy. I don't think I have ever been this excited about spring break. On Valentine's Day, we had our special candlelight dinner. I think that the kids look forward to this each year. We have yummy food and some sort of pink smoothie drink. I truly love this family of mine. How grateful I am that we can celebrate together!
This past weekend the Young Women in my ward had their silent/dessert auction. We provided a spaghetti dinner and asked for donations for the silent auction and dessert auction. It was a huge success. We made enough money for camp! We have a fantastic ward and I am so thankful for their support. I have such fond memories of girls' camp. I hope that these girls will have the same! That was on Friday and on Saturday, I couldn't get the energy up to do anything. Of course, I was also fighting a cold. I don't remember a time that I was so tired. But it was well worth it.
This week it seems like we all have the same cold/cough. Hopefully we will be better soon as we have a busy week ahead of us! Beth is going to space camp this Friday. My ultrasound is on Friday too. And yes, we are going to find out the sex! Then on Sunday we are heading to my parents house for a little rest. I haven't been anywhere since the fall and I am itching to get on the road.

Lucky 3

This is how it works..... The first 3 people to leave a comment on this post will receive a hand made gift from me during this year. When and what will be a surprise. BUT, in order for you to leave a comment on my blog, you have to post this on your blog first. (That means that sometime during this year you will send a gift to 3 people as well.) Get it? So, the first 3 people to comment on this post will be the lucky ones.

It got us too!

Our family has been hit with the super nasty stomach virus. Jacob started on Saturday, followed by Beth on Monday and Emma on Tuesday. Last night it made its appearance with Mickey. I tend not to catch anything so I am hoping that I will be safe. I hope the nice weather stays since I need to air my house out. Really and truly, I am thankful. This is the first real illness we have had all school year. I will knock on wood and pray that this is the last! I hope all of you are not hit with fantastic bug but if you are, get better soon!

On a side note, all is going well with this pregnancy. I am 14 weeks and feeling better than I have in a while. Hopefully this will make me a little more consistent about my blog postings. Only 5 more weeks and we will find out what we are having. My gut feeling is that we are having a boy. But, I have been wrong 2 out of 3 times so I don't really trust that gut feeling. :)

Miss Riverton Pageant

Beth decided that she wanted to compete in the Miss Riverton Pageant again. Her favorite part is shopping for the new dress and getting flowers from her dad at the pageant. Beth introduced herself this year and did a fabulous job.
We found a cute hairstyle on the internet called...a bun for tweens. It suited Beth perfectly and she loved it.
Mickey's dad and his fiance came to support Beth. She was surprised when the pageant was over to find them there.
Beth chose not to wear her glasses for the event. I was worried that she wouldn't be able to see but she seemed to do fine. Maybe it helped since she couldn't see the audience. Then again, she didn't seem to be scared at all. She did a great job and we are super proud of her!

Upward Basketball

This year, Jacob is playing Upward basketball. It is a little different than rec ball but we are liking it. I must say I love only one practice a week! Plus the games are set for the same time every week. Jacob is having a great time especially since he was able to get play with his friend, Sam.

Beth enjoys the games because most of her good friends are there too. Emma loves it too because she has her own friends there! Here is Emma with her friend Jack, Sam's little brother.

It has been a fun season. Now we just have to make it through baseball season and we can have a little break. Yay!

We're Pregnant!

I think this may be the worst kept secret of my life. Mickey and I are happy to tell everyone that we are expecting our 4th baby on August 7th. We are excited and happy. After our miscarrige this summer, we had decided to keep this under wraps until we were a little more sure of the pregnancy. I went in for a 6 week ultrasound and even heard the heartbeat. I had to hold my breath and be still but I got to hear 4 great heartbeats. I was so happy but still a little worried. At our 7 week ultrasound this summer, there was an empty sack...so this was beautiful to me!
Our next ultrasound was at 8 weeks and we got an even better shot of arm buds and an even stronger heartbeat around 150 beats per minute. It was one of the best things I had heard. While we were even more encouraged, I still wanted to keep it to ourselves. Well, Beth saw me stuff the ultrasound pictures in my purse (from across the parking lot) and asked if we were having a baby. I couldn't lie..so we told the kids. Not my plan.

I go in on Monday for another ultrasound. I have a doctor that believes in ultrasounds until you can hear the heartbeat with a doppler. It is okay with me. I love watching our sweet baby develop and grow. I am praying right now that the morning sickness will soon leave and I can get back to some normal activities...like cleaning the house. How grateful I am for a fantastic husband who takes care of me so well.
